Well I finally got the cover I wanted for my truck. They say I should be able to get a better mileage because there should be less drag on the truck. So with that I started to watch and see. Since its only be a day or two I am sure that there is not much of a difference. I guess I will have to see after a month or so. While my truck can use E85 ethanol sometimes the price spread between that and the regular gas are not much of a factor. Considering that I get a 1 to 2 miles less per gallon. When I do find it for more than a 30 to 40 cents difference I use it. Yesterday I pulled into a gas station who had regular for $2.76 and the E85 was $2.39. So I thought it would be a good buy.
So now with some E85 in the tank I started the test to see how much my new tonneau cover will help in mileage. I guess any savings will be a good thing. Every penny you save is something that you can use towards something else. There are plenty of cars out there that can use E85 and many are not using it. It is my understanding that this fuel is produced here in the United States. I am for supporting everything made here in the U.S. and I try to buy items that are made here as well when I can.
Buying American products? That’s another blog…..
God Bless…..
