I love trucks and I love being on the road. But as explained before there are times you just want to be home. Anyway we left for High Point, NC from Miami, FL raining! And it rained through all four states! The storm that was coming in from under Florida was everywhere! While driving you get tired of just seeing rain and more rain and of course you have to deal with other drivers who at times feel like they themselves own the road. Traveling mostly at night to me is a benefit as there is less traffic and that makes it easy if you can stay awake.
So at certain times we stopped to get some coffee, fuel, a snack and keep rolling. We go to High Point 15 hours later and man it was nice and chilly there. We arrived to 63 degrees! We unloaded and got to work! We spent one night there and we were ready to load and head back the following day. Which is what we did! The cool morning was nice and I know that in Miami the cool morning are not even around when winter is here!!! But I would not trade Miami…. This is my home.
The ride back was very nice and there was no rain!!! Again traveling up and down the road of the Carolina’s was very nice and I took the time to snap a few pictures and admire the areas that we passed by….
I will not be making the trip again. This was my last trip. If at some point in my life I need to truck again it will be because I need the work. But for now I will leave the driving to someone else. By the way if you ever decide to visit the Carolina’s I know you will enjoy it!
Till next time… God Bless…
