You were one special lady and when we met for the first time we knew that there was laughter coming our way. It was a great time at every corner of our conversations. I remember you telling me about Dido and her song White Flag. You had your ways and no one could ever take them or change them. You marched to your drum beat and no other drum beats were a possibility. The news of your passing away has left me listening to Dido this morning and remembering our talks, our time of having a few drinks, sharing about our kids and how different they were growing up.
As I listen to White Flag I know you went down with your ship. I remember your smile, your witty sayings, your naughtyness, and your stories about your tattoos. Life for whatever reason was not what you thought it would be, and while there were many disappointments along the way I am glad I was able to meet you and share some time with you in the ups and the downs. I know that you are in a better place. I know that I will see you again. But right now it hurts. Keep singing C.
God Bless
