Maybe it’s just me?

So speaking with a few folks about the everyday issues that we all face, we constantly see one thing amongst the younger generation. We the “who cares attitude” we do what we want. Or a better word, selfishness!

Now I am not saying that when I was younger I was not that way, I probably did have some type of attitude as well. But I can certainly tell you it was not a I don’t care I do what I want attitude. I was brought up to respect others, to hear someone else’s opinion even if I did not agree with them. To respect other opinions if I wanted my opinions respected.

We are seeing is a generation who has not been taught that at all. They seem to believe that they have the right to do as they want to and not adhere to any kind of manners or decency. Clearly some parents have failed in raising their kids.

I am sure that most of the parents when they were kids, if they stepped out of line the rear end would have been tanned! I remember that we were ever out of line and in a public place, just a look from one of our parents was enough to make you wanna be back in line!

To the younger generations out there here is a tip. By God’s grace you will grow old like all of us. Learn to respect others, value the friendships you make, you are a future in the world, but the future still needs respectful and courteous people to function in society.

Take the time to hear what you say to others, words and actions are hurtful. I am guilty of this and I still hold my tongue when I have to do so. It will only make matters worse. Have fun and enjoy your time here on this planet. Life is short and you wont believe how fast it go until you realize it.

May God bless all the young people out there. You have a rough road to travel. As you travel on it make friends not enemies. Embrace the beauty this world has and remember that you have to share it with others as well.

God Bless,
