When you look around you can tell there are so many business that are closing their doors because of poor sales. Yes we know it is the economy and I am sure it will be a few years before it will be back. I also take a look and see that many of these business are restaurants and sandwich shops, etc. Now I have not seen many McDonalds, Wendy’s, or Burger Kings’s go out of business! Well hang on cause I did see a BK in south beach close down. But I can guess they have open 20 more in other areas!
The reason I go through all this is that last night I went to McD’s to get my son a double cheeseburger. They were priced at $1 I think not too long ago. Since then they have gone up to $1.29. So it went up by alittle more than 25%. But ok so a buck twenty nine is not bad. Since my son likes fries which by the way my doctor does not like and always tells me to skip them… but thats for me not my son, I decided to get him some. A small fries order is $1.00 but you can just eat one of those things, you are always left wanting more. So you get a medium fries order. Total $1.99 and if you wanted say like 10 more fries then you need to get the big order that is $2.29.
I can not believe that it costs this much for fries!!!! This is how these companies make the money! The medium fries order which I am sure its the most popular is the one that costs the most for the amount of fries you get! And by the way why is it that at all these fast food places there is no consistency of the amount of food you get? Some McD’s when you ask for a large fries order you will get so much that you pick alot of them at the bottom of the bag. While at other places you get have of the container of fries?
Anyway that’s just me venting on the cost of fries!!!
