Lets put the blame where it belongs!

The blame belongs to us! Yes us! Many will always make this comment, “This would have never happened when we were growing up”! As I read about a young man who was killed by another young man in the school locker room. I am sure there will be plenty of articles to outlaw handguns and so on…. But can we take a step back and see why we are where we are now? It is so apparent that we must today blame something, or someone, for whatever bad happens.

The reason we never had this happen when we were kids is because we were trained in the way we should act. We were taught respect! It was meant that you respected other no matter who they are, where they came from, no matter the age they were. It was expected to us to be respectful no questions whatsoever!
We were taught to be honest! Yes you told the truth when you were caught in the act of whatever you did! We did not blame it on the something of someone! If you were caught red handed you fessed up to it and you took the punishment! We were taught that every once in awhile you were not going to win at everything you set out to do! And when we lost we took the loss and would work on it more and more so as not to lose again! We were taught how to be friends and best of all to live decently as humans should!

Today we allow so much nonsense for our kids that we have given them a free ticket to do whatever they want to do! We allow them to blame things and others for whatever problems they are dealing with! We tell them not to do drugs, while some of the parents do it at home! And I know of one who shares his stuff with his son! Folks lets not kid ourselves about what is going on today! It is our fault and no one else can be blamed! As some of the kids now spiral out of control we need to get a hold of our own kids and keep guiding them in the way you and I were brought up!

We can not allow more kids to wonder through life, feeling like they are not worth anything, or that this world owes them more than what they are getting! We also need to get back to God and instill in our kids his ways! Do not allow the downfall of what is happening affect your kids! Take a hold of them and let them know they are loved and that they are the most important thing in your life! Also let them know that they are here to live and make the best that this life has to offer!

I pray that God will give you wisdom to deal with your kids. And for you future mothers and fathers, take the time to realize that the most important thing in life is life itself! God gives it to you!

God Bless,
