Dieting 101!

It has been a long road with me and being overweight. And I am sure that I am not alone on this road. There have been many diets that I have tried, of course this is because we see commercials, and new diet fads appear everywhere. And I and many I suspect try to get a quick way or a an easy way to fix the overweight issue. But every time in many cases we fail.

So about a month and a half ago I decided that I was no longer in the market for a new diet. After speaking with my doctor he simply said cut the calories, eat better, and get some exercise started. So I decided to do just that. A month and half later I lost 15 pounds. I am happy that it has worked. But it has not been easy.

Yes I have had to change the way I eat and how much I eat. I have to constantly make decisions on what I eat and if that food is something that really will help my body in some way. There are so many foods out there that really are empty calories and we must learn to eat correctly. I am not an expert on eating correctly but I have learned so much.

I will outline what I have been doing as far as eating habits go and how I plan my days on what to eat and how much of it. I am feeling great on this healthier lifestyle. I must advise that it is still a struggle for me at certain times and I have had to make a few sacrifices, but in the long run I am seeing the results.
