The holidays are my favorite time of the year. They are also at times sad times. During Thanksgiving and Christmas people seem a little more friendly. I also tend to miss the people who are not here to enjoy the holiday with us. They have either moved away or are too busy to make it to any of the dinners, or any of the gatherings. But they are never to far than a phone call away. Some maybe are too old now to drive long distances, and I know a few who are in nursing homes and can not make it. It is the greatest gift to visit someone who can not get out to visit others.
Spend time visiting the ones that may not have someone else visit them. There are many you know who will be alone during this time of the year. But you can make a difference. You can bring them Joy! During this time there are those who are no longer with us, they passed away. The memories will always live in your hearts and they will always bring you a smile when you remember the good times.
Please pray for our troops who fight that we may have freedom. Freedom comes with a price, it is not free. Many have made the sacrifice for the freedoms we share….
God Bless,
